inner peace

I am passing this on to you because it has definitely worked for me . . . and as the holiday season will soon be with us, we all could use a little calm. By following the simple advice I read in an article, I have finally found inner peace. The article read: "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started."

So, I looked around the house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished . . . and before leaving the house this morning I finished off a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white wine, the Bailey's, Kahlua and Jaegar, the T3, some cheesecake and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freakin good I feel . . .

ok, forget it, I need my blog.

so here I am on a saturday night in victoria doing homework... I need my blog, I really do.

Anyway last night was the MMAT beer gardens followed by an evening at THE PIT... very scandalous, plus I had some phenomenal chats and lessons learned with my fellow MMATs, Heather, and Katherine some which will remain untyped.

Pay attention people, laugh if you must, but never forget that gin truly is a spirit of evil. Here I will pass on my newfound wisdom:

DIFFICULT TO SAY AFTER GIN:
Indubitably
Innovative
Cinnamon

VERY DIFFICULT TO SAY AFTER GIN:
Specificity
British Constitution

IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY AFTER GIN:
Well I'm done; no more booze for me
Good evening officer, isn't it lovely out?
Oh I couldn't, nobody wants to hear me sing!
Sorry man, but you're not really my type

I'll leave the rest to your imagination... Happy Saturday!

read on...

EUREKA!
So before I start complaining here do bear in mind that shit happens, I complain, then I conquer. I will get over it but I find blogging to be a good vent sometimes.

So there I was. Had gotten up early to study, made breakfast for the cake, was driving around in a parent's automobile...you know, I REEKED of having my shit together!
Then WHACK; a series of strange things occurred. The first WHACK was the sound of me backing mom's car into another parked Toyota Sudan in the UBC B-Lot. I sniveled, I was comforted, I left a note, then I cranked up some tunes and carried on with my tour guide persona for Cupcake's last day in Van, scoring a lovely mussel dinner to cheer me mmmm.

The second WHACK was more of a sting, really. The day was lovely and somehow managed to bite me in the bum like a cracked toilet seat. Perhaps I'm the only one whom has had this pinching toilet seat experience but trust me, it does not leave a sista feeling warm and fuzzy. I mean, you get what you give, right? So what does that mean? Did I bite a bum somehow inadvertently?
(By the way I didn't literally get bitten in the bum but I feel it is an effective metaphor for my current state.)

My parents say whenever something bad happens, "it builds character". So my question is, what sort of character does this crap build? So far all I've built is a character who complains to innocent people over blogspace!

Then I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always conquered. Surely we've all had a bum-biting or two and for a time they seem indestructible but in the end, they always seem to heal up!
So I'll to have faith that in time life will grant me something in the way of a compensation for my past foolishness; some character, a new awareness, or a new toilet seat maybe.

Anyway thanks everyone for reading up to this point! Amberations will exist no longer however I will be updating my webpage sometime over Christmas I suspect. Take care of it!

happy happy joy joy

I love school today- even though I sucked on thermo I still love school.

And... I get to do a presentation! On whatever I dayam well want.
I've decided to do Tequila, a highly misunderstood beverage of sorts. Sure we've all hastily downed Tequila shots, but have you ever paused for a moment to really enjoy its flavour? Dad convinced me one night after dinner to sip it neat - slowly, to enjoy the aroma, the body and the taste, and then, of course, the gongshow effect. Life is really too short to miss out on enjoying it properly people!

Here's a big HAPPY 2nd GRADUATION to my sister Andrea!

And here's a big "BC rules I have yet to put on a winter coat" to all you Eastern/Central Suckas!!

time to ramble on

BC gets these crispy sunny fall days where the air is cool and damp and awesome yet...crispy. I can't explain it any other way.

I'm too lazy to organise my thoughts but I felt like writing sumpin.

Anyway a few of us wandered down to the UBC duck pond garden thingy this aft and I fed the ducks a muffin. Ducks are highly entertaining. Try it sometime. Afterwards I got sucka'd into to playing ball hockey as the team needed a girl to participate, however I found it surprisingly satisfying; whacking a ball with a stick again and again. I think I'll participate again sometime soon.
I managed to greeze up a good dinner out of it with delicious bok choy and potato and leeky goodness. Then I learned how to play boggle. Boggle can be very intense. Shaun got pretty mad during our post-dinner boggle game; I couldn't help but laugh and he ended up storming away from the boggle table!
It was all very dramatic!

When finally I got to the gym it was dayam close to 10pm and I was so chill and full with a smirk on my face thinking about my nice crispy day... then I Iooked up from the stairmaster to see that there was a Chilis concert on Much, how droll.

So as much as I'm not religious, today seemed somewhat of a warm fuzzy sign that that everything's gonna get crispier in amberations eventually. Happy Thursday to y'all, thanks for readin
