don't get maroooned!

just thought i'd post one pic of christie snoozin at the top of my favourite mountain thus far (mount maroon).... ahhh yes all the signs of a good climb were present which includes puking, major wounds, and epic power-napping.

Kiticat rocks! So spoiled am I!

If I stay as blog-lazy as I feel then have a happy Canada Day weeks end buddays! Ereek and I will be offers with 2 hikes, a concert (with possible fubar-esque audience; i'll try to get pics of harry and his rat tail hairdoo), and who knows what else... take care of it!

you've been erased

Ereek and I decided that we must get away togetha before school starts (and life begins to be less than blissful!). Finally (today!) we decided that a roadtrip to California was in order! We'll take the Heplermobile and cruise down to visit some Hepler aunts, uncles, friends and cousins in L.A., San Francisco and San Deigo :D Then... We plan to see Blues Traveller in Oakland! So we spoiled Frenchman may actually have to get a hotel for one night....

We've been making pros and cons lists all week as we try to decide where to go. So besides the above, here's some of the many reasons why Cali was beckoning:
- THE PRODUCE!!! (one produce stand in particular- ereeek knows his food)
- THE TUNES! (BLues Traveller is playing!!!, AND possibly bad religion, and surely some random punk/ska shows seeing as it is the origin of sublime and NOFX!)
- THE MOUNTAINS! there are far too many potential climbs to list
- GOVERNOR SCHWARZENEGGER! LLLLLARghHHhhh!!! (I'm told there is also a town called Arnold, California)

But really it doesn't matter where we go, as long as I am with Ahhwwwnold and Ereek!

I'm so stoked. The gym beckons.

Friday I'm in Love!

YEYE! It's friday and the combination of hyperness plus the "nature" cookies that are to be baked are overwhelming me with the urge to blog! Weird.

Anyway, tomorrow I get to see Ereeeeeeeeek! This fact is the main cause of my hyper state. We're headed to Nelson early to surprise Grams on her 80th bday. This gathering will include cousins Erin and Trev, aunties, uncles, Mom, and SISTER ANDREA!!!! I agree with Gongdrea- it will be a very good gong, yes.

Sunday will involve Kokanee mountain (hopefully, but there certainly won't be time to make it to the top), sitting around on the farm (yeeeehaw!), and flying back to Vangroovey for a scrumpsious dinner of sorts! The prospect of a yummy ethnic dinner is especially exciting seeing as the best restaurant Kitimat-Terrace has to offer is Boston Pizza or the Greek place with the Godfather (Italian) Logo. Suckage to the max!

Dayam it now all I can think about is eating. Ereek, let's go somewhere that serves olives.

Gymtime! Or, as Newf just said, "Aaaaaaand Bob's your uncle!"

rock on!

Today at break one of the furnacemen, Harry, removed his hardhat to reveal the most fantastic haircut. The entire surface of his head had been shaven bald except for a cubic centimeter of hair at the nape of his neck. He has grown this cubic centimeter patch to a length of approximetly 6 inches and braided it, rat-tail style.

I am so stoked- this haircut is better than any mullet. Overwhelmed with awe and admiration, I invited Harry to come for a Lucky or two on Friday, but he says he has to work. Maybe next week.

summertime.... and the livin's easy

Since mon ereek left this morning and I am not working until 7pm tonight, I've got some time on my hands! Follow the links for pictures if you're into that sort of thing...

A weekend summary:

Thursday: The Rabbit is finally fixed (well, quasi-fixed)!! Amber picks up Eric just in time for a sunset porch session with the housemates.

Friday: Ambear and Ereek prepare a nutritious dog's breeekfast with extra greens followed by a gong-luck at Amber's, a Saki-sampling, and finally more silliness at one of the 2 Kiticat pubs. Oh yes and the mandatory end of night music listening session to Metallica's SEEEK AND DESTROYAAAHHH!!

Saturday: Trip to Terrace in the Cabrio with the Newf, Rachel, and Jennie. Halibut steaks for dins mmmm!

Sunday: Day hike up Mount MacLean, Yummy dinner out in Kitimat.

My car needs a bit more work done on it, but the bodyguy in town, CC, says he's going to show me some tricks this week hopefully!
